Bridge KY in need of donations for over 100 food box requests

GLASGOW, Ky. – Two local groups are working to provide dozens of families in need with a Thanksgiving meal.
Bridge KY, a Glasgow-based nonprofit that helps to support the Barren County community, is on a mission to fill plates with the help of The Boys & Girls Club of Glasgow-Barren County.
The groups initially planned to provide food boxes for the first 100 Barren County families that signed up.
However, Bridge KY provided an update Monday, stating they have received 224 requests.
That’s 124 additional families in the Barren County area. Now, the nonprofit says it is working hard to find those willing to donate funds so they can buy boxes to fill those requests.
Food box pick-up and delivery will occur on Nov. 24-26. Pick-up will take place at the Craft Innovation Campus at 701 Columbia Ave. in Glasgow. Those who pick up food are required to live within Barren County.
If you would like to donate, organizers say you can drop off items or donate around $20 to help support meal boxes.
