Briarwood Elementary raising money for therapy dog

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- A Warren County school is looking for an assistant, one that has four legs and a tail.

Briarwood Elementary School in Warren County is looking to raise money for a therapy dog. Teacher Allie Billingsley says having a therapy dog will promote effective learning and performance.

Funds would cover the dog’s initial cost and training. To donate, anyone can send a check to the school’s address, 265 Lovers Lane, Bowling Green, Ky. 42103.

Billingsley says she can’t wait to meet her new partner when the time comes.

“We were kinda just joking around about it, and then they were like, ‘you’d be the perfect candidate to get one.’ Then we just started the whole process, and it took off from there,” Billingsley said.

The Warren County schools currently have two therapy dogs. Rhys and Beau.
