Barren River District Health Department provides free health classes

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Barren River District Health Department has partnered with Passport by Molina Healthcare to provide free health information classes.

All classes will take place at the One Stop Help Center in Bowling Green with no registration needed. There are three series, nutrition, vaping 101 and QPR (suicide prevention training).

Nutrition classes discuss how to achieve a healthy lifestyle and what good comes in food. The first nutrition class kicked off on June 5, but there are three more on July 9th at 1:30 p.m., then Aug. 6, and Sept. 4 at 1 p.m.

The Vaping 101 course is on July 18 at 11 a.m. Experts will discuss the lasting effects of vaping and provide resources for those struggling to quit.

The suicide prevention class on July 30th will begin at 11 a.m. The class is titled QPR for question, persuade and refer, three steps to help safe a life.
