Brewery Hop Challenge begins! Craft beer and free merch await

GLASGOW, Ky. – Tuesday, October 12th marks the official start of fun challenge for people who love their beer and the spirit of adventure. The West Kentucky Brewery Hop just began.
People can take on this pilgrimage around Western Kentucky to taste the finest craft beer around.
People can get their very own Brewery Hop passports that tell all about the bars on the trails and other local attractions around. If people get seven of the breweries on the trail to stamp their passports, they can ship it in the mail to the address on the passport to win free merch.
People in Glasgow can try out one of Yancey’s Gastropub and Brewery’s eight beers on tap, all made in one barrel.
Yancey’s owner Jeff Jobe said, “We’ve got good beer, and we try to do something nice. It’s really just a good feeling to know you’re appreciated, so it is indeed an honor for us to represent Glasgow and Barren County and to see our names on there with some of the bigger cities. It’s a pretty darn good feeling. It really is.”
Glasgow Tourism Executive Director MacLean Lessenberry said that nine tourism offices are working together with the 13 breweries in Western Kentucky on this project.
“Crafts beer people will travel for their beers, so this was a perfect opportunity for a great fall tourism opportunity here in Western Kentucky.”
According to Lessenberry, when people finish the whole big trail, there is a special, secret surprise.
