Juvenile killed in Hart County crash

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a juvenile.

KSP public affairs officer trooper Katan Parker says troopers responded to a fatal collision at the 65.8-mile marker on Interstate 65 just after 11 a.m.

The preliminary investigation indicates a juvenile was driving a car north on I-65 when it crashed into the rear end of a long-haul truck driven by Jose Martinez-Monsivais, 59, authorities say.

The juvenile was pronounced dead by the Hart County coroner.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, Hart County Coroner, Munfordville Fire Department and other KSP personnel assisted.
