Breaking barriers: SKY Soccer Club launches free after-school outreach program
Club seeks community sponsors to expand free youth outreach program

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – SKY Soccer Club is proud to roll out the red carpet for its all-new outreach program, Get On The Bus!
66 Warren Elementary fifth and sixth-grade students kids will get to be a part of this free afterschool program
Often, pay-to-play models and transportation prohibit many kids from getting to join youth sports. This model eliminates both Barriers.
Mondays after school, SKY Soccer will feed the kids, help them with homework, and engage them in life skills lessons. Warren County Public Schools will bus the two boys and two girls teams to both the soccer field and provide transportation home.
All league fees, equipment uniforms, and soccer balls are completely covered for these kids as well.
SKY Soccer Club Club Administrator Keiliah Prater said, “We’re forming budgets from scratch and finding funding from scratch because these kids would not have the opportunity to play any sports, let alone, do it for free… And so we want to impact as many kids in this community as we can.”
SKY Soccer hopes to expand the program to other Title I schools in the district, but at an average cost of $500 per child, the Bowling Green non-profit needs community partners help make this a spring and fall program.
