BREAKING: 1 child dead after structure fire in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Thursday.
BGFD Public Information Officer Katie McKee says units responded to 627 Loving Way at approximately 5:15 pm.
When firefighters arrived, they located heavy smoke and flames visible from the residence.
McKee says crews immediately began search and rescue efforts and worked to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters located a child inside the home and rendered immediate medical aid. The child was transported for treatment.
The child was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
No other injuries have been reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
