BRAWA celebrates Valentine’s Day with kissing booth and bake sale
GLASGOW, Ky.- Across the nation, folks are celebrating Valentine’s Day at restaurants, at home and even at animal shelters.
At the Barren River Animal Welfare Association (BRAWA) in Glasgow, a kissing booth was set up Thursday.
For the next few days, the shelter staff is inviting animal lovers to jump into the booth and take a photo with a shelter animal or your own furry friend.
The shelter is also hosting a bake sale.
All proceeds from the photo booth and the bake sale will benefit the animals.
“It gets people in to see what we do here at the shelter,” said Connie Greer, the BRAWA director. “Hopefully it will stir up some adoptions and they’ll take a little fur friend home today, maybe their new valentine.
The photo booth will remain on-site until Saturday. BRAWA is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.
