BRASS in need of volunteers for Shop and Share 2026
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – For 18 years, Barren River Area Safe Space has held a donation event that helps countless people who are victims of domestic violence, and it isn’t stopping anytime soon.
BRASS, Inc. is holding the largest annual donation drive, Shop and Share. It is working with the state-wide office for domestic violence, Zero Violence, Kroger and first lady Britainy Beshear to give domestic violence victims resources, like non-perishable food items, hygiene items and cleaning supplies.
On Saturday, Feb. 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., BRASS is seeking volunteers to help distribute flyers and accept donated items from all three Bowling Green Kroger locations.
Robert Chinn, BRASS administration coordinator, says, “Well, I think it’s important because we can’t do this alone. It takes the whole community to address, the issue of domestic violence and support survivors. Oftentimes this is, a hidden problem, something that’s not out in front of us every day. “
This not only helps the victims but also allows the community to get involved.
