BOWLING GREEN Ky.-A local organization is giving the community the chance to make sure area children have a great holiday experience.

The Boys and Girls Club is once again opening the Christmas adoption program. This gives the community the chance to get gifts for a child or make a donation so the staff can do the shopping.

The kids make wish lists with clothing sizes, and favorites things. It all leads up to a Christmas party on December 16, where the gifts will be given out. Pre-pandemic, this was an indoor event. This year, the event will be drive through style just like last year.

President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Bowling Green Liz Bernard says she’s confident that a lot of people will pitch in.

“We are so confident in our community. Bowling Green-Warren County is such an amazing place to live. I’ve always felt that way, but I think it was really proven during the pandemic. People have really stepped up to support our kids and the people who need it most. I have no doubt that we will get all of our kids adopted and that they’ll have a great Christmas,” Bernard said.

Bernard says this year’s adoption program is already off to a great start. To help some kids have a great Christmas, call the club at 270-843-6466.
