Bowling Green’s first public driving range to open next week
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The city of Bowling Green will officially open its first public driving range next week.
The driving range is located at the Riverview Golf Course.
According to city officials, the range will open on October 15.
The driving range is part of a $725,000 renovation project at the course.
Last March, city officials voted in favor of spending the money to add the range and redesign the course by making it shorter with brand new putting greens.
City officials believe the range should generate $150,000 in revenue every year.
The closest public driving range to the city of Bowling Green is at the Kenny Perry Country Creek Golf Course in Franklin.
“We know that this driving range and the remodeling of the golf course is something that this community not only needs, it’s going to thrive under,” said Bowling Green director of parks and recreation Brent Belcher.
