Bowling Green woman charged with third DUI, reckless driving

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman is charged with driving under the influence.
According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police received a call Sunday regarding a vehicle that nearly struck a guardrail and another vehicle.
Troopers say they witnessed the vehicle swerve over the fog line and initiated a traffic stop off of Interstate Drive.
The driver was identified as 53-year-old Terri Goostree of Bowling Green.
Authorities say Goostree stated she had been driving 13 hours and had been in Berea and Scottsville.
Troopers say Goostree stated she had not consumed alcohol but had taken a Valium about 30 minutes prior to being stopped.
Authorities say Goostree showed them two medications she had been prescribed, which included Valium.
Following Standard Field Sobriety Tests, Goostree was arrested.
Goostree was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for a blood draw before being taken to the Warren County Regional Jail.
She faces charges of reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, third offense.
