Bowling Green woman charged with fleeing police in stolen vehicle

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman is behind bars after allegedly fleeing police in a stolen vehicle.

According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department responded Tuesday night to a stolen vehicle complaint off of Rock Creek Road.

Authorities say the caller stated he walked outside and saw his vehicle being driven away.

Police say they later located a vehicle matching the description at Lampkin Place Apartments off of Morgantown Road.

Authorities say they confirmed this was the stolen car and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

According to the citation, the vehicle then accelerated away and continued driving, running a stop sign.

Police say the officer then turned off the cruiser’s emergency equipment due to the vehicle’s erratic driving.

Authorities say the vehicle then ran a red light at Stonehenge Avenue.

Police say they found the vehicle empty on Thames Valley Road. According to authorities, a passerby stated they saw a female subject exit the car and run from the scene.

Authorities say a female subject matching the description emerged from behind a house on the 2500 block of Thames Valley Road and was detained.

The female subject was identified as 24-year-old Andrienne Miley of Bowling Green.

Miley was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for a blood draw before being taken to the Warren County Regional Jail.

She faces charges of theft by unlawful taking or disposition auto between $1,000 and $10,000, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, first offense, disregarding a stop sign and disregarding a traffic control device – traffic light.
