OAKLAND, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman is facing charges related to allegedly driving under the influence with an infant in the vehicle.

According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police was patrolling on Interstate 65 northbound at the 29-mile marker on Sunday night when a vehicle approached at a high rate of speed.

Troopers say the vehicle was going 93 miles per hour in a 70 mph zone.

During a traffic stop, authorities say they could smell the odor of alcoholic beverages.

The driver, identified as 26-year-old Satara Bradley of Bowling Green, was not wearing a seat belt and denied having anything to drink, according to the citation.

Authorities say the vehicle contained an open wine bottle. Following Standard Field Sobriety Testing, authorities say Bradley stated she had stopped drinking two hours prior to contact.

According to the citation, her preliminary breath test measured as .161.

Bradley was arrested. Troopers say an infant was in the backseat of the vehicle, and the child was picked up by a parent.

Bradley was transported to an area hospital for a blood draw before being taken to the Warren County Regional Jail.

She faces charges of speeding 26 mph or greater over the speed limit, reckless driving, failure to wear seat belts, possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle, no/expired registration plates, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, first offense, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
