Bowling Green woman charged with DUI, drug possession in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman is facing multiple charges, including drug possession, in Glasgow.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, officers responded on March 17 to Park Avenue regarding a reckless driver complaint.

Police say they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Columbia Avenue. During this time, police say the driver, identified as Amanda Hoffman, 26, of Bowling Green, was given field sobriety tests.

Police say they determined Hoffman had been driving under the influence. Officers say they also located marijuana and spice.

Hoffman was arrested and faces charges of following another vehicle too closely, improper equipment, no registration plates, no registration receipts, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substance, second offense, operating on suspended operator license, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited, possession of synthetic drugs, first offense, possession of marijuana and first-degree promoting contraband.

She remains at the Barren County Detention Center.
