BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman has been charged with abuse following a report of a possible overdose.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it responded Oct. 12 at 8:38 p.m. for a potential death investigation.

When the deputy arrived, an arrest citation says he learned a 6-year-old child had told a neighbor “he thought his mother was dead” and was showing signs of distress.

Along with Richardsville first responders, the citation says the deputy found Breanna Freeman, 29, speaking and responsive on the floor within a nearby home. Near her, authorities say they found residue of an M30 fentanyl pill on the bed and floor.

Authorities confirmed the residue and other half of the pill were in easy access to children, according to the citation.

The citation says a 3-year-old child was asleep on the couch in a separate room.

The deputy stated the commonwealth and social services were contacted.

Freeman was arrested. Court records show she faces two counts of first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under.

Freeman remains at the Warren County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. Her court date is set for Oct. 18.
