Bowling Green woman accused of threatening police with loaded firearm

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A 58-year-old Bowling Green woman is being held without bond in the Warren County Regional Jail after police said she threatened law enforcement with a handgun.

Alisa Simmons is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.

According to an arrest citation, Simmons is accused of walking up to a neighbor’s home on Clarence Odell Road and threatened the homeowner with a Colt revolver.

Later in the day, when Kentucky State Police troopers went to her home, Simmons is accused of threatening to kill them and at one point is accused of pointing the handgun in the direction of the troopers.

Simmons was quickly apprehended and arrested. Police said her firearm was loaded with three rounds. Police also said Simmons had been drinking alcohol.
