Bowling Green woman accused of stealing over 300 cuts of meat, police say

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman accused of stealing over 300 cuts of meat is behind bars.
The Bowling Green Police Department says it investigated multiple thefts from a local grocery store over the past two weeks.
Police say a detective was able to determine the same individual was responsible for each incident.
As a result, police say 64-year-old Trudy Michelle Hamlin of Bowling Green was arrested.
Hamlin is accused of stealing a total of 307 select cuts of meat, along with 40 containers, both 24-packs and 12-packs, of Pepsi and Diet Coke, according to police.
Police say the total value of the stolen items was $6,241.37 from eight confirmed thefts.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
