Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society receives $5,000 grant from Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society just received a huge grant from an iconic country singer and her nonprofit.
Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation awards a $5,000 grant to a shelter in every state each year… and this year, the Humane Society was chosen at the representative for Kentucky.
Staff at the Humane Society tell us they’re honored to be selected as one of 50 recipients of this funding.
“This is a surprise that Miranda and her amazing organization do for shelters all over the world,” Lorri Hare, the BGWCHS director, says. “I found out when everybody else found out yesterday… it’s a blessing for sure.”
Hare also tells us the funding will go towards making sure they are able to continue serving animals in the community, and she reiterated they’re still in a Code Red if you’re looking for a new friend!
