Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society offering free microchipping through the end of the week

BOWLING GREEN Ky. – The Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society is offering free microchipping services at their clinic through the end of the week.

The service helps ensure that any facility that your pet may end up in that has a scanner will be able to reunite you with your pet. The procedure usually take around ten minutes and the clinic at the BGWCHS is accepting appointments and walk-ins through Saturday, Oct. 7.

“Microchipping is probably aside from vaccines, the most important thing that you can do for an animal. A microchip is not going to tell you where your animal is If they slip out the front door. But if they were to be found and brought to a Humane Society vets office anywhere that has one of those universal microchip scanners,” Katlyn Hare with the BGWCHS said.
