Bowling Green Transportation systems look to merge

BOWLING GREEN, KY.- When covid 19 happened public transportation systems were disrupted for every transit system.

There is a study of the GO BG transit and WKU transit systems. That will ultimately take the current state of the two transit systems, and merge them into one to better serve the community.
Brent Childers, the director of neighborhood and community services for the city of Bowling Green tells us, “There’s one contract that serves both of our needs. and now it’s really looking at if we looked at these as one system, what efficiencies could we gain, what savings could be had, what would that structure look like? How would we pay for that? What could that be for the community?”
The goal of this transit study is to ultimately make transportation better for everyone who utilizes the resources.
