Bowling Green tourism entities win 14 tourism industry Traverse awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is celebrating multiple awards it earned during the Traverse Gala Awards Dinner.

The Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau says it received 13 total Traverse Awards, including three gold awards for excellence in tourism marketing from the Kentucky Travel Industry Association.

“We’re honored to be recognized with Traverse Awards to showcase our hard work in tourism. Tourism plays a vital role in strengthening our communities and driving local economies, and we’re proud to be part of that work,” said Sherry Murphy, executive director of the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, “Through not only our own projects but multi-partner projects in collaboration with other Convention & Visitors Bureaus across Kentucky, we can share the spirit and stories of our state in a united way. Together, we’re helping visitors discover the many experiences that make Bowling Green, and Kentucky as a whole, a place worth exploring.”

The awards were presented on Nov. 6 at The Galt House Convention Center in Louisville during the 2025 Kentucky Travel Industry Association’s Annual Conference.

The bureau says it won a silver award for its marketing campaign and one bronze award for its TV campaign, “The Moments in Between.”

In addition, the bureau says it received awards for four separate multi-partner projects. Three of those projects were created and managed by the Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Those projects are the “Kentucky Americana Triangle,” which received one gold award for its website, along with three silver awards.

One award each was given to “The Bluegrass Train Experience” and “Horses, Horsepower and Hollers.”

Five awards, including two gold awards, were given to the “Kentucky Garden Trail,” a multi-partner project collaborating with other convention and visitor bureaus.
