Bowling Green tests out new bike lane

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The city of Bowling Green is always looking at new ways to keep the public safe and this green strip is a test for that purpose.

Recently a state-approved vendor gave a demo to the city, treating part of a bike lane with a vibrant green paint mixed with glass beads, visible to motorists and better textured for tires. The city will leave the paint down throughout the year to see how it handles various things like rain, snow and salt.
