Bowling Green teen accused of attempted murder

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green police charged a Bowling Green teen with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of attempted murder – domestic violence Thursday.

Xzavier Smith, 18, is accused of firing a gun at his ex-girlfriend in Lampkin Place Apartments Wednesday.

A woman told police she was sitting in her living room when her roommate came running up the stairs and started arguing with a man. The woman opened the door and heard shots fired, according to Bowling Green Police records.

Smith’s ex-girlfriend told police she and Smith got into an argument at Skyline Mobile Home park and as she left the mobile home park, Smith fired shots into the air, records show. She knew he would follow her to her apartment, she she ran into the apartment and shut the door behind her. She said Smith began firing gunshots at her door nearly striking her multiple times, records show

While police were on the scene, Smith kept calling the woman and told her he was at Campus Pointe apartments and had something for her. He said he would actually shoot her instead of the door and then said, “snitches end up in ditches you stupid b….,” according to police records.

Smith ex-girlfriend was granted an emergency protective order against him.
