Bowling Green Rock Band Academy to bring unique experience to Fountain Row Friday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The final Fountain Row Fridays concert of the season is fast approaching, and this one promises to be the most unique yet, courtesy of the Bowling Green Rock Band Academy.

They’ll kick things off before the headlining band “Wolf.”

Known for helping local students discover their love of music, the Rock Band Academy hits the stage from 4:30 to 5 p.m. at Fountain Square Park.

This time, they’re planning to get the community involved in a special way, making this show a little different from your average concert.

“We’re bringing a whole lot of drums out to the square between 4 and 5 PM. There is a lot of percussive items that’ll be on display for the community to come up and enjoy, to cultivate what we’re hoping to be a regular routine of drum circle experience, a drum circle experience for our community,” Matt DeVore, the owner and operator of the Bowling Green Rock Band Academy, says.

Again, that concert is from 4:30 to 5 p.m. on Friday at Fountain Square Park, with “Wolf” performing from 5 to 7 p.m.

There will be plenty of percussion instruments on hand to have fun with, and the Rock Band Academy is excited to take part in this unique opportunity.
