Bowling Green Rock Band Academy recognized during Cage the Elephant concert

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Over the weekend, members of the Bowling Green Rock Band Academy had an incredible opportunity and were pulled on stage to be recognized at a Cage the Elephant concert in Nashville.

Cage the Elephant is an American rock band that was formed in 2006 in Bowling Green and is known for loving their hometown through and through.

They played free concerts at Western Kentucky University in 2018 and released T-shirts during the December 2021 tornadoes to help with relief funding.

During the concert, Cage the Elephant lead singer Matt Shultz spoke on why he chose to bring these members up on stage.

Shultz said, “Support your hometown, you know what I’m saying, and support young musicians. It’s tough.. it’s tough out there.”

If you have a child in your life that’s dedicated to rock music or has a love of all things loud, the Bowling Green Rock Band Academy always has open spots for upcoming rockers.
