Bowling Green ranked one of the worst cities for football fans

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-We’re just days away from footballs biggest day of the year. As football fans everywhere get ready for the big day, Wallethub has compiled a list of best and worst cities in the country to watch one of America’s favorite sports.

Wallethub’s annual list of best and worst cities for football fans ranks Bowling Green as one of the worst places in the country for football fandom.

Bowling Green is the 6th worst place for fans of America’s most watched sport. Cities ranked lower than Bowling Green include Providence Rhode, Island and Pine Bluff, Arizona. Pine Bluff is ranked dead last on the list.

The way Wallethub decided which cities were best for fans and which were worst, is based on cities with an NFL team and performance level of college football teams.

At Hilligans Bar & Grill staff took offense to Bowling Green’s ranking as one of the worst cities in the country for football fans.

“We are the go to game day spots…I don’t think Bowling Green would be a bad place for football fans at all. Even outside of college football…Titans fans love to come in and watch games,” said Ashley Bland at General Manager at Hilligans.

The city considered the best for football fans according to Wallethub is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
