Bowling Green police make arrests in string of laundry detergent thefts

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two people have been arrested in connection with a series of shoplifting incidents involving large amounts of laundry detergent.
According to Bowling Green police, since Sept. 22, multiple stores have reported thefts of numerous containers of detergent.
Through video surveillance, police say investigators identified 50-year-old Jomar Taylor and 54-year-old Donya Taylor, both of Bowling Green, as suspects.
Detectives also identified a vehicle used in the thefts.
On Wednesday, officers say they found the vehicle in Lampkin Park. Both Jomar and Taylor were taken into custody without incident.
Both were lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and charged with theft by unlawful taking.
This investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
