Bowling Green police investigating Friday night stabbing

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Bowling Green police are searching for the person accused of using a large knife to stab a man.

The crime occurred late Friday night at a home located at 428 Woodford Ave.

According to police, Willie Lawrence had a large laceration to his neck when officers arrived on scene.

Lawrence told police that he was sleeping when someone named “Alex” stabbed him.

The weapon was later recovered with blood on it inside an upstairs bathroom.

Lawrence was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment. At last check, he was listed in stable condition.
