Bowling Green police investigate Beauty Avenue shooting
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man was shot multiple times Sunday at 1105 Beauty Ave.
At 2:41 p.m. Bowling Green police were called to Beauty Avenue for shots fired. The caller told police Benjamin Blevins had been shot multiple times, according to police records.
Officers arrived and while one of the officers was providing first aid to Blevins, the officers spoke with a woman at the scene who said that she had been a physical altercation with someone in Franklin, according to police records. The name of the person has been redacted from police records because he is a juvenile.
The woman said that the juvenile brought her to the address at Beauty Avenue and they were still arguing about her belongings. He said he would return with them, according to police records. He later returned with three other males whose names have also been redacted by the police pending further investigation.
When the four males arrived, the shooting began, according to police records. One of the males fired shots from a vehicle. Those shots struck Blevins who sustained non life-threatening injuries, according to police records.
Blevins told police one of the males said “I will shoot the entire place up,” records show. Blevins did not know the shooter, the males or the woman and said he believed he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, according to police records.
No one had been arrested as of Monday morning.
