Bowling Green Police Department responds to alleged burglary at UPS

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department says multiple packages were open and stolen earlier this week at a United Parcel Service.
Police say they responded just after 3 a.m. Monday to the UPS located at 150 Turner Court in Bowling Green.
Upon arriving, police say they observed open packages on the belt line.
According to a report, UPS employees say they located the open packages around midnight. One of the employees told police he noticed knife marks on the packages, police say.
Police say the staff did not find a suspect or other employees in the building that morning. Police say one employee believes the suspect or suspects may have accessed the building through an unlocked door at a warehouse.
The report states the suspect or suspects allegedly stole more than $1,000.
At this time, details are still being gathered on what contents are missing from the packages.
We will provide an update as further information is released.
