Bowling Green Police Department partners with WKU to support officer Matt Davis

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With football season right around the corner, WKU wants to show its support to the community.

A limited amount of tickets for the home opener against South Florida are available via the Bowling Green Police Department, with $10 of each ticket sold being donated to officer Matt Davis. Davis was shot and injured in the line of duty in July.

Upper level seats will be $20, while lower level are $30.

BGPD say they are honored to partner with WKU to show support to Davis.

“We live in such a great community and the outpouring of prayers and support and financial support and cards and comments has just been absolutely incredible. Not surprising, but incredible. So in this case, we’re just happy that WKU wanted to do this. It was their idea. They came up with it,” Ronnie Ward, public information officer of the Bowling Green Police Department, says.
