Bowling Green Police Department investigating car break-ins at three apartment complexes

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Three different apartment complexes in Bowling Green have been targets for car burglars.

The Bowling Green Police Department says they’ve had more than 65 reports of people living at The Hub off Lovers Lane, Nathan’s Rim near Industrial Drive and Bel Air behind Greenwood Mall, saying they’ve had their cars broken into.

BGPD public information officer Ronnie Ward tells us these thieves are breaking windows to get into the car and not looking for any item in particular, just taking whatever they can find. That’s why he urges you to protect your valuables.

“We still encourage you to take notice of what’s inside your vehicle, remove any items of any value, whether that be firearms or computers or cell phones or anything that has any value at all,” Ward says.

He also asks if you live at The Hub, Nathan’s Rim or Bel Air apartments and have any video surveillance of the suspects breaking into cars… contact the Bowling Green Police Department.
