Bowling Green Police Department and 7 Brew team up for Coffee With a Cop
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department was serving up more than just justice today.
BGPD teamed up with local 7 Brew stores to make and serve coffee to the community this afternoon. Officers helped take orders as the line quickly grew, serving smiles along with the drinks during the rush. And for BGPD, it was more than coffee – it was a chance to connect with the community, share stories and brighten everyone’s day.
“We do a lot of community events. We’re very active with Workout Cop and all the other things that we do. But this gives us the opportunity to actually serve in a different way. We have officers that are making drinks, that are taking orders, that are delivering orders, and while they’re doing that, they’re having conversations with our citizens about the day, about their day, what’s happening in their lives. What, what they need the coffee for. You know, a lot of people, they need that early morning boost, and they’re telling us about what’s getting them going for the day,” said recruitment Sgt. Brad Hogue with the Bowling Green Police Department.
If you missed the BGPD today, don’t worry – they’ll be back on Monday at the 7 Brew on Scottsville Road from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and then again from 2 to 5 p.m.
