Bowling Green participating in statewide garden trail, including Baker Arboretum

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau will participate in the newly blossomed Kentucky Garden Trail.
The trail will feature 12 gardens and arboreta across nine counties, including Warren County’s Baker Arboretum.
According to a release by the convention and visitors bureau, the trail’s passport program will allow visitors to document each landscape on the trail and receive prizes and incentives.
“From the very first conversation about this trail, we knew it had great potential and jumped at the chance to showcase Baker Arboretum in this creative and collaborative effort,” said Marissa Butler, Visit BGKY hospitality services director. “The trail not only encourages travelers to visit these nine communities and twelve amazing attractions, it also celebrates the wide variety of flora, garden styles and natural beauty that exists across the state.”
Participants can enjoy gardens, forests and horticultural experiences at the following locations:
- Baker Arboretum in Bowling Green
- Doran Arboretum at Murray State
- Mahr Park Arboretum in Madisonville
- Western Kentucky Botanical Garden in Owensboro
- Bernheim Forest & Arboretum in Bullitt County
- University of Louisville Arboretum, Waterfront Botanical Gardens, and Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville
- Yew Dell Botanical Gardens and Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve in Oldham County
- Liberty Hall Historic Site in Frankfort
- The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky, in Lexington.
