Bowling Green Parks and Recreation holds Valentines Day social for people who have special needs

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Parks and Recreation hosted a Valentines Party for members of the special-needs population at the Kummer Little recreation center.

There was food, including plenty of sweets as well as arts and crafts, amid plenty of red and pink hearts. Before the event actually started, the movie Beauty and the Beast was shown.

The coordinator of the event, Holly Vincent, says the crowd in attendance is near and dear to her.

This was the fourth annual Valentines Event. Other events, like St. Patrick’s Day parties and cooking classes have also been held by the Special Populations Office of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation.
