Bowling Green officers recognized at national awards ceremony

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two Bowling Green police officers are being recognized for their work in the community.
According to the Bowling Green Police Department, on Monday, advanced police officer Miranda Rone and officer Jeff Ward were recognized at the National Association of Police Organizations Top Cop Awards Banquet in Washington, D.C.
Officials say both officers were commended for responding to help save the life of a person in crisis.
The department says the award honors officers that “go above and beyond the call of duty,” with only one department selected from each state.
