Bowling Green mother accused of slamming toddler on concrete; child airlifted to hospital

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A Bowling Green woman is behind bars, accused of slamming her 2-year-old son onto concrete.

The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Fairview Avenue.

According to an arrest citation, Bowling Green police say 24-year-old, Suzanne Gray, was involved in an altercation with a man when she slammed her son onto the concrete and fled on foot.

The child was airlifted to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville for treatment. The child’s condition is not known at this time.

Gray was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault-child abuse, endangering the welfare of a minor and first-degree wanton endangerment.

She’s lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
