Bowling Green, Morgantown receive funding for electric vehicle charging stations
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear has announced an expansion into electric vehicle infrastructure in the Commonwealth as 11 new federally funded charging stations are set to be built.
According to the release from the governor’s office, six developers were selected to receive just under $9 million to build the 11 new charging stations.
This round of funding will include Bowling Green, Morgantown and Oak Grove, as well as eight other cities not in our immediate area.
All the stations will be along Kentucky’s interstates and parkways designated as alternative fuel corridors helping to support long distance driving for those both in the Commonwealth and travelers visiting the Bluegrass State.
