Bowling Green man sentenced for drug distribution, firearm offenses

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man has been sentenced to over a decade in prison due to charges related to fentanyl, firearm offenses and more.
According to a release by the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky, 40-year-old Joshua Duncan has been sentenced to 18 years and four month in federal prison.
The release states this is the result possessing with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture and 400 grams or more of fentanyl, along with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a firearm for furtherance of drug trafficking.
Court documents state that on February 15, 2024, Duncan possessed 4,667 grams of methamphetamine and roughly 574 grams of fentanyl in Warren County. In addition, court documents state he possessed four different guns.
Duncan was prohibited from possessing a firearm because he had previously been convicted of the following felony offenses, including drug trafficking involving cocaine and methamphetamine.
There is no parole in the federal system.
