Bowling Green man flown for injury treatment following Grayson County crash

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – A Bowling Green man was flown for injury treatment after a crash in Grayson County.

According to media partner K105.com, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to a single-vehicle car crash at Midnight in the 6300 block of Shrewsbury Road on Tuesday.

First responders told K105 that the vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old male of Bowling Green, was driving southbound when it crossed into the northbound lane and left the roadway. The vehicle crashed into a culvert and went airborne for approximately 30 feet.

The vehicle then struck a tree and came to a rest.

The man was transported to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center and then airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

According to K105’s report, first responders initially believed that a pedestrian was also struck during the incident.

An extensive search was conducted and no pedestrian was located.

The investigation is ongoing.
