Bowling Green man charged with trafficking ketamine
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with trafficking illegal drugs, including ketamine.
According to the Warren County Drug Task Force, agents worked with the Kentucky State Police Interdiction Team and Bowling Green Police Department to arrest 32-year-old David Gerchikov of Bowling Green.
Authorities say detectives learned that Gerchikov was accused of involvement in illegal drug trafficking.
Following surveillance and a traffic stop, authorities say a Bowling Green police K-9 gave a positive alert to the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle.
During a vehicle search, authorities say they located 18 grams of ketamine, also known as the “date rape drug,” 200 vape cartridges containing 90% THC and 1 pound of marijuana.
Gerchikov remains at the Warren County Regional Jail on charges of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (ketamine), trafficking in a marijuana (between 8 ounces and 5 pounds, gun enhancement), disregarding a stop sign and failure to or improper signal.
