Bowling Green man charged with possession of sexual abuse material involving minors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing multiple charges in relation to sexual abuse material involving minors.

According to a uniform citation by the Bowling Green Police Department, detectives responded Wednesday for a case involving an 11-year-old victim.

Through investigation, detectives say they learned Sarbast Yousif, 19, of Bowling Green, possessed sexually explicit videos of the child that were sent to him.

After speaking with detectives, police say Yousif eventually admitted to possessing the two videos. Police say he gave consent to search his phone.

Yousif stated after learning someone had told others about his “relationship” with the victim, he deleted the images, the citation states.

Yousif additionally had a sexually explicit images of other juveniles on his phone, police say.

Police say a 15-year-old victim out of Missouri stated Yousif reached out to her to ask for sexually explicit images.

Yousif was placed into custody and transported to the Warren County Detention Center.

He is charged with procure or promote use of a minor by electronic means, possession of matter portraying sex performance by a minor under 12, possession of matter portraying sex performance by minor over 12 but under 18, first offense and tampering with physical evidence.
