Bowling Green man charged with leaving scene of accident in Russellville

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A Bowling Green man faces multiple charges following a crash in Logan County.

According to a uniform citation, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2700 block of Proctor Mill Road just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday regarding a single-vehicle crash.

Authorities say a caller reported a subject crashed a motorcycle and ran from the scene.

Deputies say they began a search for the subject, and ultimately took him into custody off of Duncan Chapel Road.

The citation states the subject, 38-year-old Joshua Duncan of Bowling Green, had a bloody face and smelled heavily of alcohol.

Authorities say Duncan’s preliminary breath test showed “a high concentration of alcohol.”

Duncan was transported to The Medical Center at Russellville before being taken to the Logan County Jail.

He faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident – failure to render aid or assistance, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first offense, third-degree fleeing or evading police, display of illegal/altered registration plate, no motorcycle operators license, no registration plates, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first offense, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle and license to be in possession.
