Bowling Green man charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a minor

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Warren County man is behind bars on charges related to illegal sex acts with a minor.

The Bowling Green Police Department responded to a delayed rape investigation Monday.

Police say a 13-year-old had told her teacher and counselor she was being sexually assaulted by a man she identified as Boi Cung Chin, 37.

A police report says the 13-year-old girl said Chin would “get on top of her and move his body where she could feel his private part” while they were both clothed. She said she had “never been raped by Chin, but she was afraid it was going to happen at some point,” according to the report.

Chin spoke with BGPD, and authorities say he admitted he would “wrestle” with the 13-year-old girl and “she may have gotten confused about what was happening” but denied all allegations she made.

Chin was arrested and faces charges of first-degree sexual abuse and unlawful transaction with a minor – illegal sex act under 16 years of age.

Chin remains in the Warren County Detention Center.
