Bowling Green man charged with DUI, identity theft after Logan County traffic stop

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A Bowling Green man was arrested in Logan County after a traffic stop.

Logan County Sheriff Stephen Stratton says the traffic stop occurred at W 9th Street and Nashville Road at approximately 9:26 pm Thursday.

Deputies identified the driver as 43-year-old Michael Crutcher of Bowling Green.

Authorities say Crutcher was driving with a suspended license.

According to Stratton, deputies located a loaded handgun and a fraudulent Florida identification card.

Stratton says further investigation led to the discovery of 118 suspected MDMA/ecstasy pills in Crutcher’s motel room.

Crutcher was arrested and charged with driving while suspended, no insurance, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft of identity. He was lodged at the Logan County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
