Bowling Green man charged with DUI for second time this month
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man is facing charges after authorities say he was driving under the influence for the second time this month.
According to a uniform citation, officers were called to Cumberland Trace Road on Monday to investigate a driver who appeared to be intoxicated.
When officers approached the vehicle in the parking lot, 58-year-old Stephen Daniels of Bowling Green exited from the driver’s side of the car, police say.
Officers say his speech was slurred, his eyes were glossy and the odor of alcohol was apparent on his breath.
Daniels later stated he had been drinking, the uniform citation states.
After officers conducted field sobriety tests, Daniels was arrested and transported to the Warren County Detention Center.
Daniels faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense (aggravating circumstances) and driving on a suspended license, first offense. Daniels was previously charged with a DUI on April 3.
