BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence, after a collision over the weekend.

The Bowling Green Police Department says it responded Sunday around 1:29 a.m. for an injury collision at the intersection of Campbell Lane and Thoroughbred Drive.

Police say the front of each vehicle was heavily damaged.

One driver, identified as Javier Monpiee, 51, of Bowling Green, had the odor of alcoholic beverage coming from him, police say. Police say Monpiee stated he had been drinking but not how long ago.

Following field sobriety tests, Monpiee was placed into custody and transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for medical clearance.

Police say they had discovered Monpiee had been driving a vehicle that was not registered to him and had an indefinitely suspended license.

Monpiee was then transported to the Warren County Jail.

He is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, operating on suspended or revoked operators license, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance or security, first offense, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first offense (aggravated circumstances).
