Bowling Green man charged with DUI after crashing into school bus
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A wreck involving a school bus Friday morning in Bowling Green resulted in the arrest of a man who was allegedly driving under the influence.
The crash happened just after 9 a.m. on Veterans Memorial Highway and Gordon Avenue.
According to Bowling Green police, Zachary Toney, 29, of Bowling Green, made a sharp turn and collided with the bus.
No children were injured.
Police said Toney was driving on a suspended license.
Authorities said they found a bag containing a white substance in Toney’s trunk, along with a syringe that appeared to have a substance in it.
Police said a field sobriety test revealed Toney was impaired.
Toney is charged with numerous offenses, including, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Toney is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
