Bowling Green man charged with drug trafficking in Todd Co.

FAIRVIEW, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing multiple charges, including drug trafficking, in Todd County.
According to a uniform citation, the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force received information that Sherwood Davis, 42, of Bowling Green was traveling to Todd County in a black Ford Fusion and was said to have a large amount of illegal substances.
Authorities say they saw the vehicle fail to use a turn signal and conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Davis Highway.
During this time, the driver and Davis were both detained and questioned.
Authorities say Davis admitted there was a large amount of illegal substances in the vehicle.
The task force says it opened the trunk and unloaded a bag, which contained 1.4 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, 1.7 grams of suspected cocaine, another bag with 4.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 18 grams of suspected marijuana, digital scales, syringes and glass pipes, along with a handgun beside the bag.
Davis stated the illegal drugs and gun were his, authorities say.
Davis remains at the Todd County Detention Center and is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second or greater offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, trafficking in marijuana, second or greater offense, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense (cocaine).
